Storytelling not only provides entertainment, it is also educational.

 

 EDUCATION:

Storytellers offer a wide range of services in schools by....

  • Developing language, memory and critical thinking skills
  • Enriching family literacy
  • Involving children and adults in storytelling activities
  • Engaging the creative imagination, where all higher learning begins. 



   MEETINGS:
Monthly meetings take place at the Newburgh Ohio Township Central Library at 6:00pm the first Tuesday of each month. Meetings often include a workshop on subjects related to storytelling, followed by a "story swap" where tellers share a favorite tale.
